# Why do later edits to a past nutrition diary day show up, or not?

Edits to a past diary day are delivered again for the date they belong to, but how far back that works depends on the provider.

**Edits to a past diary day are delivered again for the date they belong to, but how far back that works depends on the provider.**

* **MyFitnessPal and MacrosFirst:** each scheduled check re-reads the last seven days of the diary, so edits to a day within about a week come through on their own. Edits to older days are not picked up automatically.
* **Cronometer:** Cronometer tells Terra whenever a diary day changes, including old days, and Terra fetches that date. A retroactive edit can deliver a date you never requested, sometimes many old dates at once.

Nothing in the payload separates a late edit from newly logged food, and there is no setting to stop older dates being delivered. Overwrite each day by user and date when it arrives, and filter by date on your side if you need a cutoff. See [how to dedup nutrition payloads](https://docs.tryterra.co/help-center/help-topics/data-api-sdk/extra-features-scores-graphs-teams-nutrition-cgm/nutrition-meals-upsert-no-stable-id).
