# Why isn't third-party activity in Garmin Connect reaching Terra?

Activities another platform synced into Garmin Connect generally don't come through Garmin, but not every activity has to be recorded on a Garmin device.

**Activities that another platform synced into Garmin Connect (Rouvy, Zwift, etc.) generally aren't forwarded by Garmin**, so they show in the Connect UI but don't reach Terra through the Garmin connection. This isn't a blanket rule for everything not recorded on a Garmin device: activities added manually or uploaded to Garmin Connect can come through, marked with `metadata.upload_type` 2 (Manual).

Move IQ auto-detected activities are not taken from Garmin, and no scope or setting changes that.
