# Why is my Garmin webhook delivery delayed by about an hour?

Terra delivers Garmin data within seconds of receiving Garmin's push.

Terra delivers Garmin data within seconds of receiving Garmin's push. The delay sits upstream: **Garmin only pushes once the device syncs with the Connect app**, which can take 30 to 90 minutes. There is no on-demand pull for Garmin, so this lag is expected.

Separately, if your auth counts spike, check that your [webhook handler](https://docs.tryterra.co/health-and-fitness-api/user-authentication/handling-authentication-events) does not start a new auth flow on `user_reauth` or `deauth` webhooks:

* `user_reauth` simply signals that the user got a new connection. Update `old_user` to `new_user`.
* It is not an instruction to re-authenticate.
