# Why can't I download old payload history?

Payload History on the dashboard is available for recent payloads only, so older payloads can't be downloaded from there.

If you need payload data for debugging beyond that window, **store webhook payloads on your side as they arrive**. Support can help interpret what may have gone wrong with a specific recent payload.
