Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://docs.tryterra.co/faq/help-topics/something-else/provider-rules-and-restrictions/strava-third-party-display-restriction.md).

# What are my options under Strava's display restriction?

Strava's API terms **prohibit third-party apps from displaying a user's activity data to anyone other than the user themselves**, even with explicit consent. This blocks use cases like sharing data with coaches or medical professionals.

Your options:

* **Discuss your specific use case directly with Strava.**
* **Rely on other providers** (Garmin, Fitbit, Apple Health, Oura, etc.) that don't have this restriction.

Terra's [unified API](https://docs.tryterra.co/reference/health-and-fitness-api/supported-integrations) makes it easy to support multiple alternative sources.
