# Can the auth webhook include the provider user ID?

The [auth webhook](https://docs.tryterra.co/health-and-fitness-api/user-authentication/handling-authentication-events) payload can't currently include the provider's native user ID.

**Retrieve provider-side identity via the `/athlete` endpoint** after the connection is created. The addition is noted as a feature request for future API revisions.
