# Can provider permissions be auto-selected on consent?

Health permissions **cannot be pre-selected** on the provider's consent screen. Google removed support for auto-selecting all scopes for privacy reasons, so end users must tick the permissions themselves.

The best mitigation is **onboarding copy** that explains why each permission matters, so users grant everything your integration needs.
