# Why is Apple Health syncing infrequently?

Apple Health sync frequency is **controlled by iOS**, which pings the app to deliver new data only when there is new data and sufficient device resources. For apps that aren't opened often, iOS treats them as low priority and syncs less.

If daily payloads keep repeating the same window, the device has stopped sending fresh data and scheduled deliveries replay the last window.

Advise users to:

* Not force-kill the app.
* Enable Background App Refresh.
* Disable battery-saver mode.
* Ensure the SDK re-initialises on foreground.

Frequency improves the more the app is used, and data only advances if the device is actually collecting new data.
