# How do I dedupe multiple sources behind Apple Health?

For Apple Health, payloads can combine data from **multiple contributing apps**:

* Sources appear in `device_data.name` (e.g. package or app names), with additional sources in `other_devices`.
* Custom device names only come from Apple devices; third-party apps report fixed names.

To exclude specific sources at the SDK level, **use `setIgnoredSources` with the apps' bundle IDs** so their contributions are dropped before payloads are generated.

Apple supplies raw overlapping sleep samples that the SDK deduplicates and aggregates. Older SDK versions had known duplicate and overlapping-sleep issues, so check your SDK version and **update to the latest release**, which includes improved aggregation, then verify the feeds normalise.
