There is no option to receive imperial directly.** Because every provider is normalised to the same units, you implement the metric-to-imperial conversion once on your side, typically a single multiplication per field. Units are embedded in the JSON field names (for example duration fields in seconds, distance in metres), so the response structure itself documents each metric's unit.
