# Can the payload simulator send FIT files?

**The payload simulator follows your account's processing format.** Switch your environment's processing type to FIT files, and simulated **activity** payloads sent to your webhook are generated as FIT files.

Non-activity types (sleep, daily, healthcheck) remain JSON, since FIT only applies to activities.
