# Does disabling a provider disconnect connected users?

Disabling a provider in your [dashboard](https://github.com/tryterra/api-faqs/blob/main/dashboard/connections/README.md) does **not** deauthenticate users who already connected. Their connections persist, but you stop receiving their data while the provider is disabled.

Re-enabling restores data flow without users needing to reconnect.
