# Why do I get 'insufficient permissions for data type' on Google?

A `connection_error` reading `insufficient permissions for data type` fires when Terra polls a data type the user's OAuth token doesn't cover, for example Google body metrics without `fitness.body.read` in your scope config.

You have two options:

* **Add the missing scope** to your provider configuration and have affected users reconnect for a fresh token, or
* **Disable that data type** in the dashboard [Connections](https://github.com/tryterra/api-faqs/blob/main/dashboard/connections/README.md) panel to stop the polling attempts.

Other data types continue flowing normally.
