# Why do I get 'app is blocked' on Google Fit OAuth?

The `app is blocked` error during Google Fit authentication happens when **write permission scopes are enabled** in your dashboard. The Google client ID Terra provides only supports read permissions.

To fix it:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Remove write scopes** from your enabled [permissions](https://docs.tryterra.co/health-and-fitness-api/integration-setup/customising-data-types).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Retry in an incognito window, in case the old consent screen is cached.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

To show your own brand on the consent screen, supply your own Google provider client ID and secret in the [dashboard](https://github.com/tryterra/api-faqs/blob/main/dashboard/connections/README.md).
