# Why does the Samsung connection redirect to Health Connect?

There are two Samsung Health integration routes.

* **Default SDK path:** goes through Health Connect, which is why the `SAMSUNG` connection type redirects there.
* **Recommended direct route:** uses Samsung's native SDK via Terra's partnership.

To use the direct route, **apply on Samsung's Health partner portal**, then share the following with Terra and we can help support your Samsung application:

* Your organisation name.
* Your Samsung developer account email.
* Your Terra developer ID.
