# How many devices can I connect in testing or staging?

Testing and staging [environments](https://docs.tryterra.co/health-and-fitness-api/integration-setup/understanding-terra-environments) each allow **up to 50 connected users**. Once the limit is reached, additional connection attempts are blocked rather than evicting existing users.

To free up slots, **remove unused test users** with the `/auth/deauthenticateUser` endpoint.

To check your current user count, use the `/subscriptions` endpoint or the **Users** analytics tab in the [dashboard](https://github.com/tryterra/api-faqs/blob/main/dashboard/README.md).
