# Why can't I download old payload history?

Payload History on the dashboard is available for **recent payloads only**, so older payloads can't be downloaded from there.

If you need payload data for debugging beyond that window, **store webhook payloads on your side as they arrive**. Support can help interpret what may have gone wrong with a specific recent payload.
